FIGHTING CLOTHING WASTE ONE SEASON AT A TIME
So Last Seasons was born out of two goals: reducing clothing waste for a more sustainable way of shopping, and to allow parents the advantage of sales prices on great quality clothing.
So Last Seasons was born out of two goals: reducing clothing waste for a more sustainable way of shopping, and to allow parents the advantage of sales prices on great quality clothing.
Children's clothing can be a wasteful industry. Alone based on the fact that children's clothing typically has a short life span due to growth. Being a mother of two fast growing children myself, I longed for a more sustainable way to keep my children nicely dressed. As a Dane, I really love Scandinavian children's fashion. It is timeless, good quality, and always beautifully designed. Like most parents of young children, I find it expensive to keep up with durable, quality clothes that look good. Paying full price for items that typically only last one season is both expensive and wasteful. Also, with children's clothing I can never really take advantage of sales as by the time the right season comes around again, the items are no longer suitable due to size or changing taste.
As a result of this and the detrimental effect the overproduction of clothes has on our environment, I came up with the concept of selling brand new Scandinavian kid's fashion from previous seasons at the right time of year. This allows our customers the chance to benefit from sales prices with immediate value for money, while reducing clothing waste. Good for the children, the environment, and the wallet!
