Breathing exercise
This month we challenge you with the body and mind challenge: 4-7-8 breathing exercise. Are you in?
How does it work?
Take a comfortable position
Place the tip of your tongue against the back of the upper teeth during the entire exercise
Breathe in for 4 seconds through the nose with the mouth closed
Hold the breath for 7 seconds
Breathe out completely through the mouth with a sssshhh sound
You can repeat this cycle 4x, at least once a day. When you practice this technique on a daily basis, you will notice that you quickly get a feeling of relaxation as soon as you start the exercise.
